A contemporary courtyard garden

We were responsible for the construction of this project, we worked alongside garden designer Paul Hadley who produced the design.  The garden is a small enclosed courtyard area, separated from the main garden.

The client wanted to create a stunning seating area using water and planting to produce a tranquil environment.

The project included:

  •      Constructing an L-shaped pool with stepping stone paving appearing to float above the water

  •     A stainless steel blade is built into one of the decking pads circulating the water via a hidden pump and filter

  •     Buff coloured, sawn and shot blasted sandstone used for all paving

  •     Softwood timber decking with LED lighting built into the sides

  •     Two raised planters built from concrete blockwork, rendered and painted, with matching buff sandstone used as coping

  •     A gravel area, laid using gravel stabilisation grids
